libqextserialport-dev software package provides interface to serial ports for Qt-based applications, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libqextserialport-dev
libqextserialport-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libqextserialport-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libqextserialport-dev *
You will get with libqextserialport-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
